Hellboy Animated Statue

He’s the world’s foremost paranormal investigator. Or at least the most intimidating. This 10-inch animated statue replicates Mike Mignola’s creation Hellboy. Holding his ‘Right Hand of Doom’ in a raised position with his trusty ‘Samaritan’ in his left hand, Hellboy is dressed to kill in his trench coat and signature black shorts. In the final days of World War II, the Nazis attempt to use black magic to aid their dying cause. The Allies raid the camp where the ceremony is taking place, but not before a demon – Hellboy – has already been conjured. April CEO Blog – Spring Cleaning Part 1

Greetings Deniath community! I hope all of you are having a wonderful Spring. For those of you I have not had the privilege of meeting, my name is Wade Sugiyama, and I am the CEO of Deniath. First, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for being a part of the Deniath community. Whether you’ve made a purchase, read our blog, followed us on twitter, gotten your picture taken at a convention, invited your friends, or simply became a member and enjoyed looking at all the geeky goodness…Thank you!

I’m going to try to be as disciplined as I can about blogging once or twice a month to give all of you a glimpse behind the scenes, as well as keep you updated about when and how our geeky flash sales will return. I must warn you that I may also use my blog posts to write about some of my geek obsessions and discoveries :)

1st Promo Prototype - Developed during my MBA program

I remember when Deniath was just an idea I pitched at a lunch meeting and when it subsequently turned into a simple business plan that was fine-tuned with the help of my amazing MBA colleagues (shout out to the UWB LMBA Class of 2011!). I am constantly amazed at what Deniath has been able to accomplish with such a small, hard-working team, and I’m truly humbled to see emails and messages from happy customers and members looking to help in whatever way they can.

So, the first order of business…when are the flash sales coming back? The short, and not so exciting answer is that we are working extremely hard to bring them back as soon as possible. Company growth is an amazing thing, but it also means new challenges and more complex organizational needs. That being said, it’s certainly a welcomed challenge and it’s opened up so many doors for us. As soon as we can nail down a return date, we will be sure to announce it.

In the interim, there are a few things I CAN tell you about. In the past few weeks, we have already begun working with partner brands to put together deals for when we return, and we will be previewing some of those brands over the coming weeks. Make sure to stay tuned to our emails for those brand previews. We’ve also started new programs like the Deniath Associates, the Deniath Craft Series, and we’ve got a few surprises as well. While we are taking a break from flash sales, we are also making an effort to stay as active as we can on our social platforms. So make sure to show your support by “liking” us on Facebook , following us on Twitter , and following us on Pinterest. I’ll pause for a second while you do that ;) ………Thanks! And, please feel free to engage with us on those platforms as much as you like. We love to hear from our members!

Murray Lender, Bagel Visionary, Has Passed Away

From 1955, working full-time on no salary, he began to buzz with good ideas. Put six bagels in a plastic bag to give them a three-day life, rather than seven hours. Sell them in grocery stores to create an all-week, everyday demand. Tickle those gentile taste buds with onion, egg, cinnamon ’n’ raisin flavours. Even better, pop them in the walk-in freezer his father already had, and make them last so long that you could ship them everywhere. Pile them in the frozen-food cabinets with the juice, and there was breakfast ready, oven-fresh, from the east coast to the west.

Lobo Heads To The Movies

Brad Peyton, director of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, has signed on with Warner Bros. to direct and rewrite the story. Based on the DC Comics series about an alien “interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter,” Joel Silver, Akiva Goldsman and Adrew Rona will be producing.

Frazetta Funny Stuff

Frank Frazetta! He’s been rightfully called ‘The Grand Master of Fantasy Art’! But, it’s little known that Frazetta also conquered other worlds in the Golden Age of Comics, as shown in his Donald Duck-ish funny animal and hilarious hillbilly comic book stories. Even those aware of this wonderful Frazetta art don’t know the extent–this book is a whopping 256 page, large-format pages! Did we mention ferocious, terrifying wolves and swampland creatures in the plethora of animal stories illustrations as only Frazetta could draw them? There’s also lions and tigers and bears–oh my!–before Frazetta’s famous paintings captured the same subjects. But wait, there’s more! (As they say.) You’ll see the roots of the Frazetta Girl in the sexy Kathy teenage girl adventures. And there’s the hot Daisy Mae-look-alike, Clarabelle, in the hillbilly hi-jinks stories of her beau, Looey Lazybones (Holy Li’l Abner!). The introduction is by the famed cartoon director Ralph Bakshi who well knew Frazetta and closely worked with him when they co-produced the animated feature film, ‘Fire and Ice.’ Bakshi shares rare insights, anecdotes, photos and Frazetta drawings. And Bakshi has created a special painting of Frazetta and himself as funny animals for this beautiful hardcover full-color coffee table book! Frank Frazetta’s Funny Stuff is edited and designed by Eisner award-winner Craig Yoe.

The last remaining employees – Claire (Sara Paxton, Shark Night 3-D, The Last House on the Left) and Luke (Pat Healy, Dirty Girl) – are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England’s most haunted hotels. As the inn’s final days draw near, odd guests start to check in and the pair of minimum wage “ghost hunters” begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel’s long mysterious history.
